Commercial Shipping Materials for Doomsday Bunkers.

A bomb shelter or underground house sounds like something that a paranoid person would consider building, but, in reality, many people are preparing for the day in which they might have to flee their home and stay somewhere safe for an extended period of time. If you want to survive the end of the world, you’ll need a safe haven that will provide for your basic needs, such as housing, food, and water.

Many survivalists are turning to shipping containers to serve as their underground homes. While shipping containers are great for shipping, they may not make the best temporary living arrangements, especially if you plan to bury them underground. Although they’re made of steel, they’re not sturdy enough to withstand a large amount of dirt caving in on them. This leads to dents and rust, which can quickly ruin your underground home.

10 Things I Love About the Prepper Community & 5 Things I Hate.

Every once in a while, someone stumbles on an old article of mine – “Why We’re Giving Up Prepping” and doesn’t realize that it’s actually an April Fools Day joke! I am 100% in this mindset to stay, and would never stop prepping, not ever (which is why I wrote this article as a follow up to my April Fools Day Joke).
But being forever-a-prepper doesn’t mean that I approve of absolutely everything that goes on in the prepper community, and I’ve found over the years that when it comes to the prepper community as a whole, it can feel a lot like a double-edged sword.

I Can’t be a Prepper

Most folks hear the word Prepper and think of them as “those people” that are waiting for the end of the world. I know what you’re thinking. I’m not like them. But let’s take a look at what you do before you say “I’m not a Prepper.”
* Do you have more canned foods than you will need for a day or two? You just might be a Prepper.

* Do you have a can of gasoline in your garage? You just might be a Prepper?

* Do you buy extra toilet paper, Kleenex, bottled water just so you won’t run out? You might be a Prepper.

* Do you have a gas grille and an extra bottle of propane. Do you have flashlights with fresh batteries around the house just in case the power goes out. You might be a Prepper.

* Do you have a garden, maybe raise chickens, know how to can your own foods or have a stack of fireplace logs? OK, this is getting ridiculous.

You’re almost a full fledged Prepper and didn’t even know it.

* Do you watch Survivor and yell at the players about how to start a fire or build a shelter? Yep, you’re a Prepper. Being a Prepper simply means being prepared for the unexpected to occur like a big snow storm, a tornado, a flood or a wildfire. The people running to Lowe’s to buy anything they can to help them them through the unforeseen are simply “last minute” Preppers. Face it, we’re all Preppers. Some just tend to stockpile more stuff, practice emergency scenarios and maybe even own a handgun or rifle. Wouldn’t you love to be one of “those people” if something terrible happened?

But even Preppers can go a little too far with some even building bunkers and shelters with security. But who’s to say that isn’t a bad thing. By Gary Fleisher, the “New Guy” to Prepping

Is Urban Survival Even Possible?

Urban survival is basically an oxymoron. If you have extensive survival or military training, it is possible – but the chances of making it through a SHTF disaster for even an above average person in a city environment, is exceedingly slim.
There are plenty of reports on the internet attempting to teach you how to survive in an urban environment, and a plethora of others urging you to “bug out to the woods” – following the instructions and advice in many of those types of pieces will likely get you and those you love, killed.

The Best Bulletproof Body Armor When SHTF.

If things get really bad, like a sudden epidemic outbreak, it’s reasonable to think you are at risk of being attacked by other people — let alone in more common emergencies like active shooters and home defense.

As part of the “create holes, prevent holes, plug holes” framework of emergency combat, body armor is a core component of protecting yourself and preventing holes.

Get ready for a massive fight over gun control in Congress in 2019.

Neither chamber of Congress has had a true gun control debate since 2013, even as the nation has witnessed a historic string of mass shootings, including one at a baseball practice for Republican lawmakers in 2017.
While Republican leaders have avoided gun debates at all costs, Democrats are attributing many of their electoral gains last fall to their strong positions on gun reform. And that means a robust Second Amendment debate is coming to Capitol Hill soon.

What’s Coming To The Prepper World In 2019.

Preppers talk about guns, they talk about violence and sometimes they talk about religion and politics. The multi-platform digital fasci has taken action against some or all of those topics. Critical income streams like Google AdWords, Facebook search and YouTube, have cut down or cut out those with opposing views or interests.
While this may not seem like a big deal for the average prepper, it is having a huge effect on the websites that preppers visit each day. Some of these sites have built a base on these AdWords and forms of income that are being suppressed. Digital suppression will undoubtedly take out some content providers in 2019. It will be conservative based and firearms-based bloggers and YouTubers. This happened in 2018 as well.
